Watering – water only when the soil is dry. Avoid watering into the crown of the plant.
Over watering will result in root rot.
Light – provide morning sun with dappled shade mid-day. Intense sun may burn the leaves of some succulents.
Soil mixes and fertilizers – soil mix should be fast draining. If in doubt, add perlite or pumice.
A good fertilizer for succulent would have balanced percentages of nitrogen, phosphorous and potash.
It is best to fertilize in the spring and fall.
Grooming – gently remove the dried leaves, they should come off easily.
